  • A (wordy) smartphone debate

    When someone I know wants to buy a new smartphone, I am always given the same question – should I get an iPhone or an Android? (Windows or BlackBerry is never part of the question for some reason). Many years ago, I used to be able to give an answer rightaway. Depending on how tech savvy they were, I’d recommend either Android or iOS. Not to say that iOS users are dumb and don’t know anything, but because of how easy it was to use based on own experiences and what I’ve heard from other people. I have never heard anybody complain about an iPhone being hard to use.

    Writing is like asking a girl out

    There are many parallels to draw between writing and asking a girl out. Actually not really, but since I couldn’t think of what to compare it to, I just took the first thing that came to mind. Let’s see how I can forcefully marry the two activities together.

  • We will fuck with consequence

    He sat relatively still, typing away on his laptop. In between paragraphs, he took deep breaths from the cigarette resting between his lips.

    Typing a few words, and then backspacing, and then typing them again, he looked busy even though he hadn’t written many words in the past ten minutes.

    He was reflecting on his life, trying to put down in words how he felt at the moment. It was a mixture of ups and downs. Things weren’t going particularly well, and things weren’t going bad. Things were ‘fine’. How are you doing? Oh, just fine. Fine.
