If you’re an aspiring performer/musician/songwriter/whatever come down for Feedback this Saturday at Cloth & Clef.

FEEDBACK is an open mic show that happens once a month (every 2nd Saturday) at Cloth & Clef in Changkat Bukit Bintang. If you’re interested to sign up come slightly earlier to sign up for a slot.

You get to play 1-2 songs depending on how many sign ups there are. Set-up wise a full band can be supported (we have 2 guitar amps, a bass amp a drum kit and vocal mics). Please bring your own cables. Bands as well as solo acts are welcome.

This month’s installment features FERNS, WANI ARDY and REZA SALLEH.

FFEDBACK Open Mic is a MOONSHINE event.

I’ll be playing for the open mic so make your way down there tonight to catch me and stay for the other great acts playing as well 🙂

  • Cabs of the future.

So the other day I got in a cab, and realized that the cab in front of me was going to the same place as well. Then I thought to myself- wasn’t that a huge waste of petrol and money? If only I knew the person in front, we could have shared the cab, the costs, and the cab driver would’ve saved petrol, and hence saved the environment.

But because we were strangers, we didn’t get on the same cab.

So in the car I started thinking to myself about cabs in the future. Maybe in the future, there would be a sign on top of the cab that displays its destination, via which route, and how many more passengers it can carry. And people who were going to the same place can flag the cab down and join the ride. The meter would calculate when the second person got on and split the remainder of the distance with the new guy and so on.

This would solve problems with not enough taxis going around, encourage carpooling, and who knows, even create relationships between strangers!

Anybody wanna vote me into parliament for ministry of transport?
Fuck me, I’m just babbling lol.

  • Inspiration kicks ass.

So I was inspired to write a new song. Haha. Finished the first and second verse and chorus today, and I’m so excited to share it just cos its a happy song and I rarely do those. It’s gonna be 2 in a row. 😀

Here’s the rough demo I did in like 3 minutes. I’ll do a proper one along with the untitled party song at a later date. In the mean time, enjoy this rough version. I’ll probably be playing this live in future gigs if I get good response here.

    Walking on Clouds
you’ve got me feeling like i’m walking on clouds
and i ain’t coming down without you by my side
we’ll stroll down rainbows and pluck cotton candy
from stray clouds along the way

you’re my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow
i don’t want your riches i just wanna, bathe in your glow

i’ll run my fingers through your hair
    and kiss your cheek
‘cos i’m the kind of guy who takes it
    nice and slow

it’s been a long time since butterflies have visited my stomach
    and they ain’t leaving soon
not with you in the room
not with you in the same room as me

here’s a box of chocolates, will you be my valentine?
i don’t need wings to fly, i’ll settle for a smile

awwwww I’ve grown all sappy and shit 😀 haha
    comments/feedback appreciated!
