What started out as a fun way to pass time between friends during the pandemic turned into a weekly podcast that has gone on for 90 episodes (and counting). Evening Drama Rebooted is a casual, conversational podcast where my friends and I discuss topics pertaining to technology, writing, art, the world, and whatever is on our minds that week. One of us is in the United States and the other two are based in Malaysia.
When it began, it was nothing more than a stream of a Zoom chat window. Over time, I’ve used the show as an outlet for me to practice stream overlay designs, learn streaming settings, work out issues with broadcasting video and audio, and pretty much everything related to hosting a show online.
Hosting this podcast has also helped me to speak more confidently in front of a camera while forcing me to think, condense and articulate my thoughts on the fly – something I wasn’t very familiar with in the beginning. It isn’t the most popular show on the web and we gain no revenue from our content but we have fun doing it which is why we’re still doing it!
