  • We build, we box, we carry on

Futures was the soundtrack of my college group work. I remember listening to the album on repeat when working in my classmate’s house on group projects. It had everything you want in a pop rock album – upbeat anthems to keep you going and chill tunes for those downtimes. Jim Adkins has a fantastic voice and wrote great lyrics to pair. • From Here to Mars

Coheed and Cambria dropped a couple of new songs from their upcoming album over the past few weeks, and the latest one “From Here To Mars” is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard all year. They had just signed onto the label and put out their first single through them, “Ohio is for lovers”. It was run of the mill early 2000s screamo, but I really enjoyed the track and got into their whole album. However, it wasn’t until their second album, “If Only You Were Lonely” where their hooks sank into me. That album was an outstanding effort – straight out the door with the banging track “This is Who We Are” all the way until the somber closer, “Decembers”. I loved the album and it was the soundtrack for my long drives to and from Cyberjaya during my college days.
